Similar Artefacts

Here are some similar artifacts I have found that relate to my book cover initial idea. Included on this post are some novel covers of the lord of the rings books and also some comicbook covers that have either a particular style I would like to try and immitate or they have elements of proximity that I would like to use e.g. layout, typeface, etc...

This reminds me a little of the designs for "The Man With The Golden Arm"The Lord of the Rings, J.R.R. #Tolkien 1978. Unwin Paperbacks. Cover illustration from the #Bakshi animated film. #lotrThe #Hobbit, J.R.R. #Tolkien #lotrThe Return of the King, J.R.R. Tolkien, first US paperback (1965), cover by Jack Gaughanfirst US LOTR paperbacksThe Lord of the Rings, The Return of the King - I love Tolkien wish he wrote more. The Lord of the Rings: part IIThis is my own copy of The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien. It's one from a special set that includes The Lord of The Rings with it. It features an illustration by Alan Lee of Smaug on the front cover, and many of his other works based on the book are used throughout the inside. The careful placement and coloring of the type really work well I think, and the top and bottom borders with the dwarven runes help to bring everything together. My version of a 'Lord of the Rings' book/poster design for a charity campaign by advertising agency 'Beshart'. 100 artists work to call attention on the battle against illiteracy.
